The more generously you give your creativity…
The more creativity comes back to you.
Maya Angelou once said, “You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.”
And no….I’m not saying it comes back as praise or as likes.
But as clarity. Momentum. And aliveness.
When you withhold your work by waiting to be “ready”, “good enough” or “validated” you block the loop.
Creativity is not a possession.
It’s an exchange.
The muse doesn’t reward hoarders.
It rewards movement.
If you’re only learning, scrolling, studying, absorbing…
and you’re not sharing, teaching, offering…
your system becomes full but stagnant.
Like water that never flows.
But when you share, you discover what matters.
When you teach, you understand deeper.
When you create publicly, your private vision sharpens.
When you offer your unfinished thoughts, the next idea reveals itself.
So in many ways, the act of giving creates the conditions for insight to arrive.
And that’s what makes creativity a relationship.
Between you and your curiosity. Between you and other humans. Between you and the future version of yourself.
Every time you create, you’re sending a signal and a signal comes back.
Often in unexpected forms.
So today, I challenge you to give one creative gift per day.
Not to impress. Not to grow. Not to monetize.
Just to circulate.
It could be a rough idea, sketch, draft, or thought.
Just give the gift that keeps on giving.
